- Our methods
- Your company now by law has to ensure compliance with new WEEE disposal laws. For this reason it is imperative that your asset recycling partner has a clear and simple methodology to disposing of your redundant equipment. Our step by step view shows the process of recycling involved as well as outlining the protection given to you.
- Item collection
- Collection normally takes place within 7 days of the request at a time suiting you. All items that you have requested are collected. We can pick up items not listed at the time of request at the usual set charge per item.
- Item cleaning
- All assets are cleaned and company markers are removed. This protects your company from the eventual end user by removing any traceability and also ensures that equipment is ready fro resale or donation in usable condition.
- Data destruction
- If requested we destroy any data on physical hard drives by using US department of defence standard secure overwriting. Rather than spiking to destroy the platters we ensure that NO section of the drive is readable. A certificate listing each drive is then produced for your records. In the case of magnetic tapes we use a degaussing method which strips the tape of any magnetic data.
- Item testing
- Each individual item is then tested to ensure there are no faults or failures. Computers are checked to boot correctly and monitors are tested to display correctly.
- Item disposal
- Any items that are non usable are then sent to be recycled in an environmentally safe way. The recycling method used exceeds the WEEE requirements and ensures that no toxic materials are land filled polluting the planet.
- Equipment redeployment
- Most of your redundant equipment is still of use to someone. We then find new end users for your equipment.
